The Upper and Lower Clowhom Projects

Hydromax Energy is currently completing construction of two-11 megawatt (MW) run-of-river projects on the Upper and Lower Clowhom River. Located in the South Coast Mountains approximately 55 km northwest of Vancouver, these two projects are expected to generate 11 MW each and be in-service in the fall of 2009.

Hydromax Energy is engaged in public, stakeholder and First Nations consultation for a proposal to develop a third hydro project where Phantom Lake flows into the Clowhom River just upstream of the Clowhom Run-of-River Projects. The Phantom Lake Hydro Project will generate approximately 58 gigawatt hours of electricity annually and will enable Hydromax Energy to generate more energy from the downstream plants.
